They credit the aid and loans you're receiving. They should be updating our bills to take our financial aid into account . I meant you won't be getting back any refund money until 3 days before classes.

Hey! I just found this board, it's pretty useful

So, like most of you, I received my first bill. Likewise, no financial aid appeared on it, which is fine at this point, as they sent out an e-mail specifically addressing that and saying not to panic. Only, I haven't gotten anything from my lender or HESC at this point, even though I filled out my eMPN months ago. Should I be panicking? Is anyone else in this situation?

I think there are some others on this thread who had also filled out their loan apps months ago and did not hear anything until recently. I'm sure you're fine, so no need to panic. If anyone can panic, it's me because I filled out my apps last week. But Fordham wants their money, so I'm sure they'll make sure to turn the paperwork around really quickly.

Thank you! I feel better hearing that. I won't be able to relax though until I get some conformation that everything went through with Stafford and GradPlus. I haven't even changed my facebook to list me as a Fordham Law student yet in fear of jinxing myself. Haha.

Edit- One other question: how does the Oasis pin thing work? I've been messing around a lot on the my.fordham.edu site a lot.

Try calling the Financial Aid office to see what's up with your stuff.

I'm not sure about the Oasis pin. Geo, do you know? I can't believe I'm this happy about having a Fordham email address.

Hmm I tried registering to the My Fordham thing and it says it could not find my information in the system. I think I'm going to call and see what's going on since I still haven't received a bill, or the assigned book yet. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Having a Fordham email address = the icing on the proverbial cake of my exciting week thus far

Anyone know a quicker way to access Fordham email than through My Fordham?

And on the loan note... I received confirmation of disbursement of my Stafford loans from my lender. Finally! No word on Grad Plus yet though. The financial aid person wasn't very helpful today (I went through HESC). I feel your pain pammy, but not quite as much. They definitely did tell me that we could go outside HESC if we wanted too. I've got it in writing

Fordham let me log in using the zip code + social password, but then it said I wasn't authorized to use the WAP email. Is there something else I have to do? Definitely freaking out. I NEED my Fordham email address, lol.

I always thought it would take them at least a month to give back the money and was planning according to that
