Not unless you just want to be a research assistant or something. Rent is cheap anyway. You could try subletting to someone for the summer, but not that many people move to ND just for the summer obviously.

Just got in today!

I have a quick question. They gave me a 18,000 "renewable" scholarship. Does that mean I get it every year, or only if I keep my GPA up?

If I remember right all it means is that you have to be in good standing.... 2.0 gpa I think.

Since the lowet grade you can get in most classes is a B-, that would be quite a feat.

Yes. Quite a few of us have. I have heard of offers from 8K a year to 18K

Till late September, then it starts getting cooler (60s or so). I don't remember it getting to be cold until early to mid-October or so, and I think our first snow was just before Halloween.

I am looking for a roommate off-campus.

There is an info site somewhere on ND's admitted students website that allows you to find others looking for roommates. I haven't attempted to navigate it yet. There is also a Facebook group (Notre Dame Law Class of 2012 or something) where people are posting about living situations.

After being WL i did visit and write two LOCI's. The first of which accounted for the WHY ND essay i did not write.

I felt like a YP, but I am not sure. I applied late in the cycle, and I think they were erring on the side of caution. I got off the WL as soon as I made it clear that I really wanted to attend ND (I visited, wrote an LOCI).
