there aren't many books we can get without knowing our Section or at least our schedule.. a lot of them have different required books.. :?
Just order them when you do know. If you order them online and don't get them in time for classes, just make copies of someone else's book.

Hey there. Does anyone have a PDF or online version of the orientation schedule?

If someone has a PDF saved and is willing to PM me with it, that would be great too!

Thanks for your help. Excited to meet you guys next month.

Also, does anyone know if law students ever make it out to hockey games? Cornell has one of the best teams in the country (with some future NHL-ers on every roster) and going to a small LAC, I never got to watch a team. Ken Dryden who was a hall of fame goalie for Montreal and former Cornell hockey player also went on to get his law degree and now runs some sort of youth development department in the Canadian parliament.

On campus; thanks for offering. And what's the deal with a career fair? do firms invite students from schools specifically or is it a free for all? If cornell students are specially invited to these, then please feel free to include it in your computations. Thanks again, woe

I'm a big hockey fan (go Devils), so I'd love to catch a few games if anyone else is interested in going.

Oh well I am a Rangers fan, so you should probably find someone else to go with I guess...

It's okay, don't worry I won't feel threatened by that in the least

At the very least, it'll give us something to talk about.

FWIW, I do know some 1Ls that went to hockey games. It isn't all that difficult to get tickets.

Panda, are you going to have a car? Flying in and out of Syracuse is generally a lot cheaper - especially SkyBlue to NYC. Although, sometimes you can get deals in and out of Tompkins. I had to book a flight for my spouse to Europe this weekend, and found them cheaper here than Syracuse.
nope...no car.. :(
if i had a car..i would go ahead and drive to ithaca from here.. (im in the outskirts of Detroit.. )

i eventually found some decently priced long flights.. (1 or 2 stops minimum in random cities..) ..but it's such a hassle..

Try my overnight (9.30pm - 9.30am) flight through newark >:( YUCK! But it was the shortest trip (still a little long for the kitty :| .

EDIT: oops, wouldn't have posted this if I'd seen all the other post between.

Class schedule as in....? I believe there is a 1L schedule up already with a book list; I think the only info I am missing right now is what section I am in.

First Year students
Your individual class schedule will be available to view online as of August 3.
They are not available to view online at this time.
that is from the Registrar's website..
It is each person's individual class schedule.. im assuming it will basically inform us which section we are in.. but who knows? :)

I think last year it was mid-late August before we got any type of schedule, but they are supposed to be hurrying up the process this year-- which is great. Y'all should have plenty of time to buy your books online or from other students if they do actually get you your results on Aug 3.

Where is this? All i saw was the thing on the registrar's website that says our specific schedules will not be up until aug 3rd. Either way, Im pretty pumped. I cant wait to see what times my classes will be.
