[*]The law school is the only part of FSU that isn't directly on campus, its actually about two blocks away. Old'ish looking outside, but very nice inside. Classrooms are what you would expect, stadium seating, plugs at every desk, etc. Gorgeous "cafeteria". Gorgeous mock courtroom. They recently bought a courthouse that sits across the street and are hoping to close the road, and make it all green kind of forming a quad between the two buildings, but it seems to be something that won't happen by the time we're done.
[*]Parking at FSU is apparently bad. However like I said the law school is two blocks away and has its own parking lot. I don't know if that makes a difference. I didn't ask. I should have. I'm sorry.
[*]They seem to pride themselves on a more cordial atmosphere between students and professors, one professor who was very nice taking about 5 minutes to stop by while I was on the tour to talk to me.
[*]They claim a 99% employment after 9 months of graduation.
[*]They also said they have no plans to have to reduce anything due to budget cuts in the state which is/was a major concern of mine.
The town:
[*]Major concern was Tallahassee, have heard it described as "Tallatrashy", "Hick town", etc etc. From what i gathered from 24 hours there, it really seems to be your average town. New parts, old parts. No parts generally seemed unsafe or worry some. All the major stores you know and love in case you only like shopping at brand name places. Although, in case your basing your decision on malls/movie theaters, Tallahassee lacks. One major mall which is anything but inspiring. And one major movie theater which is definitely not the best I've been in. Then again we wont have time for movies, or money for shopping, so who cares right?

[*]The town is about 20 miles across, with "capital circle" kind of circling the border and then major roads going into the center of town. But again 20 miles across = small. Meaning from the furthest apartments on the outskirts of town, your only talking a 10 mile drive to campus.
[*]From what I gathered: West side of town = undergrad/party central. 3 of the towns 4 universities are on the west side. FSU is right in the center. The east side of town appears more as the suburb/family side of town. With some brand new apartment complexes, and new shopping plaza's being built. Defenitly more the area I am personally looking at.
[*]For those concerned about location over quiet, there are places right next to the law school. However again, thats only if you don't care about quiet, as they are right next to a couple of fraternity houses (also right across from the law school).
[*]There apparently is a bus system in town to help alleviate traffic to FSU. It runs every 40 minutes and is free to FSU students. Once you get to FSU there is a FSU bus that goes around the campus every 10 minutes. A few of the apartment complexes are right on the bus line so that you wouldn't have to drive to school.
[*]In case your trying to plan out your costs, Comcast appears to be the only cable & cable/internet provider. Embarq also appears to be in the area if you prefer DSL.
Can't really think of anything else. I only visited about 5 apartment complexes, all of the more pricier ones, but if anyone has any questions about anything else I'll do my best to answer.
