Lol. Honestly, I'm actually kind of worried about the YP thing at my more safety-ish schools. What if they YP me because my LSAT is so high for them, even though my GPA is not - so they end up thinking I'll get in somewhere better...but then I never do?

I have nightmares about this stuff.

164/3.15...know this isn't great compared to others here, but thought I'd share anyway:

Vermont (hidden)
DePaul (hidden)
Regent
Washburn (+scholarship?)
W&M
Temple
Michigan State (+scholarship?)
U. of Houston
St. John's
U. of Richmond
U. of Cincinnati

Really wanting Lewis & Clark. Anyone heard from them?

Haha, I think the only one (at least on your TLS profile) you're going to MAYBE have to worry about is U. Colorado ... the rest of them are going to love your 170 and want to shower you with schollies!

Then you do what YP-ing is intended to induce you to do: commit to a school that you previously regarded as a safety, so they let you off the waitlist.

God I hope you're right. If I get dinged from CU but then in at Fordham or something, I'd be ok with the ding.

If you get dinged at CU this will most definitely be the case ... actually whether you get dinged there or not.

My full list, so far:

T1: Duke, UCLA, UVA, UPenn, UMich, UMinn, Northwestern, Gtown, W&M, Vandy, Notre Dame, BU

T2/3/4: U of So. Carolina, Baylor, UCinn, URichmond, UHouston, St. John's, Tulsa, Temple, Regent, Washburn (with free $, apparently)

I'm assuming that Duke/UVA/Penn/Mich/NW/Gtown are having me boost the number of almost-qualified people that they shoot down. I can dream, though.

I know there are several 175+ people who did not get a fee waiver from CLS and are wondering why. While I did get one with a 177, I want to point out two reasons that may be so: 1) URM status and 2) my GPA is sub-par. Most people here who didn't get the fee waiver with 175+ just have outstanding stats all around. CLS probably thinks you're golden at HYS.

I don't know how else to explain how all of the 3.9 / 173 people get waitlisted and all of the 3.8 / 173 people get accepted.

i'm one of those people, but my gpa is 3.63. not bad of course, but i wouldn't say i have a golden ticket to HYS... as much as i wish i could say that.

Yeah, I'm a 175/3.47 without a Columbia waiver, and I'm wondering where they think I'm gonna go instead.

^ Then maybe the reason is that they are trying to attract more high-scoring URMs...

I just applied to Hofstra and it says the fee was $75 bucks...went to checkout and it said the fee was waived. Not sure how that happened, but it was a nice surprise.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
