OK, I'll play. Is anyone at all surprised the T14 remained relatively stable and without infiltration?Sixigan wrote:Yes, let us return to beating the dead horse in this thread, aka the actual USNews rankings...Not offended, nor am I being sensitive. Michigan jumped to T6. That's hardly a sign of stability.

Not me. I'm a little surprised Boalt stayed sixth, though. Also glad that Chicago is no longer suffering the indignity of being tied with Penn and ranked below Boalt.Mr. Matlock wrote:OK, I'll play. GULC, while still 14, is a lot closer now in overall score to the TTT15s+17, of which I am a part

It's still t14. And texas isn't going to crack t14. Nor is anyone else.f0bolous wrote:T13Mr. Matlock wrote:OK, I'll play. i don't understand the new rankings...
why is penn state listed twice? I see it at #8, which is pretty respectable for a state school. But its' also at #65. What gives, US News?

What? I really don't get it. Does it mean that Penn State has like... two law schools? I figure since they have different campuses in different cities, they could have a law school in Philly.hoffb86 wrote:sarcasm? I hope?darkarmour wrote:i don't understand the new rankings...

I'll bite.
Penn State is not University of Pennsylvania.
Penn >>>> Penn State.
Very different animal, hence the distance in their rankings (not a duplication).

I don't get it... no matter where you put the "University" in the name, it's still Penn State Law School, right?monibeam wrote:I'll bite.

I think it's proof that the rankings are rigged... seeing how a school gets on there twice.

I'm pretty sure that Michigan, at #6, is better than UPenn State Law School.

Re: Official 2010 US News Law School Rankings
Sixigan, STTTanford has taken somewhat of a nosedive (how it's be described to me) to the #3 position. Many students of that TTT have already made their deposits and are now worried about a further downward tumble. Does Michigan have any aspirations taking over that coveted 3rd spot?Sixigan wrote:I'm pretty sure that Michigan, at #6, is better than UPenn State Law School.

Re: Official 2010 US News Law School Rankings
Samford has always been a TTT. What we're seeing in the USNews is a gradual progression toward Mich becoming a member of the holy trinity, as it rightfully was when the rankings were first concocted.
The gradualness is merely present to make students of lesser schools less prone to their suicidal tendencies.

I'm gonna have to agree with you... why the hell is Upenn State ranked above Michigan this year? Michigan has better architecture, professors, and name recognition. Upenn, on the other hand, is some podunk school in State College, isn't it?Sixigan wrote:I'm pretty sure that Michigan, at #6, is better than UPenn State Law School.

I do have to say that Upenn State has a great football team, though. It's good to see two Big 10 schools in the law school top 10.Sixigan wrote:Yeah, and they have 'Dick' in their name LOLdarkarmour wrote:I'm gonna have to agree with you... why the hell is Upenn State ranked above Michigan this year?
