I won't lie, 127 is pretty low. I don't know when you are planning to take the LSAT but my suggestion is to take another practice test within the next couple of days. Now that you know how the test is set up and what the time limit is like for each section, you know what to expect and will hopefully do better right there. After that I would definitely start studying either independently (only recommend if you are HIGHLY motivated), or sign up for a class. You'll definitely want to continue taking as many practice tests as possible to improve your time and familiarity with the LSAT. I'm sure you can bring it up but it will take a lot of work. You might want to start looking at what schools you are hoping to get into and what scores are necessary for acceptance, so you can see how much you will need to improve your score and whether or not you feel that is realistic. Good luck to you!KLP wrote:So i just took my 1st practice LSAT and scored a low, very low 127. When I first read this, I pulled out a PT I have sitting right here and looked up the raw score for a 127 on this test (52). On this particular test, the raw score that would get you a 127 was 22. So, 22 correct answers out of 100 questions. To get a 141 on this same test, your raw score would be 41 or 42 correct. I see that as a huge difference. I don't think it is impossible to improve to a "doable" score, but it is going to require much more than just self-study, I would say.youpiiz wrote:this is very interesting. i recall reading a good number of threads where people were relatively encouraging towards ops who had scored in their 140s for the diagnostic.
you guys really think a 127 diag and a 14x diag is that diff?
aside from whether this thread is flame or not, id like to hear what you guys think about this.
Is that part in bold true? If so, mad props, and you have dispelled my doubt. If not, you're just a truly evil person.Kohinoor wrote:OP, welcome to TLS. We all started out testing low and through study and the constant warmth and support on this board, we were able to get higher scores. I myself went from a 123 to a 176. We're all here for you. You can do it!
And I went from 120 to 180. True story.Kohinoor wrote:OP, welcome to TLS. We all started out testing low and through study and the constant warmth and support on this board, we were able to get higher scores. I myself went from a 123 to a 176. We're all here for you. You can do it!

I knew someone would pull out the brain transplant line. I just didn't think it would be you, Rayiner. You have become meaner. I blame Cleareyes for this. He has spoiled you with his flattery.

Actually I improved my score due to constant harassment and belittlement from posters on this board. I was humiliated into studying my ass off for a decent score.Kohinoor wrote:OP, welcome to TLS.
