LSAC account expiration date
I am applying to law schools this fall and my LSAC expiration date is September 2010. Let's say I do horribly on the LSAT and I decide to wait a year and apply again next fall (September 2010). If my account expires, does that mean I cannot apply to law schools the following fall? What exactly happens when your account expires?

Ok so I shouldn't worry? I'll just have to pay 127 dollars to LSAC to re-activate it?
Another question I had was under what circumstances would I have to send me fall semester grades in if the grades come out 1/1/2010... Do I have to send them out as soon as I receive them?

i sent in an updated transcript as soon as it was available - the schools need to be aware of your performance.
once you're accepted, schools want an official copy from your school before you start classes - at least the schools I've heard back from

Ok so I guess if I don't want them to see my fall grades, I would just apply early and send out ED/non-binding EA applications

Let's say I only have a year of grades to show from my undergrad institution. Won't they waitlist me anyway so they can see more grades (fall grades?)

Re: LSAC account expiration date
Well right now I have a 3.8 and I go to UC berkeley. I don't have an LSAT score yet. I have only spent a semester here and they will only see like 5-6 graded courses here. Won't they waitlist me on purpose just to see more grades? I took a lot of summer classes at different schools so they will see over 120 semester credits of college work. Just not that many at my degree-granting school.
I mean...what happens if I just don't send them? Will they ask for them sooner or later? Will I just get rejected if I don't send them in? What are the consequences?

Re: LSAC account expiration date
I applied in late December/early January and have had only one school request my fall grades (NYU). I've gotten into 7 schools, waitlisted at 1, rejected at 1, and am waiting on four others. So it doesn't automatically hurt you, but some individual schools may dislike it if you do not send them updated grades. They will, I think, request them, however, instead of just rejecting you outright.Skywalker925 wrote:Well right now I have a 3.8 and I go to UC berkeley. I don't have an LSAT score yet.
