Make that a whole gaggle of sad pandas.

Are they just taking a ridiculous amount of time doing anything on borderline apps?

i'm sorry but i think all of y'all are being totally neurotic for no reason yet - as i said earlier in this thread (but people probably ignored because type-a's like to rile each other up), snail mail sucks and is unpredictable and is annoying as hell - there's no reason for anyone to think they're out yet just cuz the envelope didn't show up - consider who you're relying on to get it to you

(and for the record, some are probably legitimately worried, but you know who you are and should make peace with that; the rest of you, whose record so far in the cycle indicates strong likelihood of a good outcome here, well, enough posturing already...you're in, and if by some freak occurrence you're not, go somewhere else that's damn good)

For the past like week, I am 100% sure letters are coming tomorrow. Very little sleep.

Definitely a type-A personality, problem is too many B grades.

I share this only in the offer of candor: I'm overseas and received my official acceptance package on Monday after getting the email acceptance the prior Friday. Not saying it's too late for anyone else to receive stuff this round, but thought I'd share so y'all know where it's capable of getting, when.

Good luck! Given everyone's other great acceptances I really doubt you have any cause to worry. And regarding money, Columbia is a bit fickle - I know several people in at Yale who got nothing from Columbia and vice versa, so who knows!

 clearly they go the extra mile for hys admits - and for everyone who's inclined to be overly worried for no reason, just look at acceptance dates from last year on lsn - they extend for about a week+ starting on 1/23 (without much regard for completion date)

I'm not sure I think that's true. The main thing I've noticed of everyone I know in at Columbia is an LSAT above the median - I know people in at Y&S at the 170 mark. Contrary to popular TLS rumor, your application package - not just your numbers - actually counts for something after all. :)

Good luck! Doyleoil's right - there's plenty of time.

There are a few below median LSAT admits on LSN- I saw at least one 169 and a few 170s (non-urm and RD). I think that probably just means that their mail might be less fickle than some auto-admits, or something.

I hope not cause I didn't get anything today. I looked on LSN for last year, and it looks like people received acceptances from 1/23 - 1/31 in that cycle.

I applied right before Thanksgiving, and went complete on Dec. 11th, although I never got the complete email/status until I called in January about it.

Well if you are in NYC and just received yours today, I think those of us spread around the country still have hope for the next couple of days at least. Congratulations!

Yeah, I feel much better now that someone received theirs in NYC today. Maybe they were released in batches.

Yes- there def must be batches of acceptances sent out. And believe me, I was freaking out for a few days after hearing about all of these acceptances in NYC and not receiving one!

So happy though, Columbia's one of my top choices and I think I'll probably end up there.

So, Columbia received my app on 12/24 and I am still "completion pending." Do you all think it's worth it to call them soon and ask if I'm missing anything? Everything is accounted for on the status checker.
