No I mean non-LSP related questions. I don't really have anything in mind at this point but I want to keep my options open.YCrevolution wrote:Yes, for LSP-related (even really tangentially) questions (unless I accidentally skip over it).puppins wrote:YC can I post any question ITT and you will answer it? So far, it seems like yes.
I don't always have the time or inclination these days to search through the forums for LSP questions, so posting it ITT will mean I'll see it and answer it.

Hey,
I love the site, thank you so much for this. I'm 3.51/173 which gives me a 47% at/below and a "weak consider" at NYU. I thought the 47% would put me squarely in the "consider" range, is this a glitch or am I reading the numbers incorrectly?
Thanks!

Very interesting site. I'm a sophomore - now I get to be obsessed with the numbers '175' and '3.75' for two years!

You did the color-coded results I requested. Thanks! It's a nice jolt to see the entire top half of my screen in blood red. Time to study and get that LSAT score up!

Um, I have a question. I'm looking at Law School Numbers and it seems like one factor is your undergrad institution. People with the lower end of stats getting into schools seem to be coming from very good undergrad schools (or have some other compelling story and soft factors). Is there any sort of proof or formula to show chances depending on whether you attended a very good school or a very crappy one? It's embarrassing, but I attended a tier 3 college. I feel like that skews everything down for me whereas someone who attended tier 1 or tier 2 schools with the exact same numbers have much better chances. Or is this just one of those variables that everyone deals with and isn't worth trying to plot?
Oh, and props to Cy. I love the graph he made in another thread and made it my desktop background, so he knows I think he's awesome.

They think LSP is magic, YCrev.YCrevolution wrote:Off-hand going to a really well-known UG will help a bit, but probably not terribly much. Unfortunately, I don't have the data to calculate any such boost based on UG, and I wouldn't worry about you attending a Tier 3 college.

Make sure you post the amount of traffic at LSP after scores come out! I foresee a very dramatic increase (I work pt as a psychic lol)YCrevolution wrote:On that note...Bronte wrote:They think LSP is magic, YCrev.YCrevolution wrote:Off-hand going to a really well-known UG will help a bit, but probably not terribly much. Since LSAT scores will probably come out tomorrow (if not tomorrow, then "soon"), I'm bumping this thread. If you have LSP-related questions, please post them in this thread, since I'll answer LSP questions in this thread, and I'm not necessarily going to have the time or energy to go track down separate threads with specific LSP questions.

You should probably make "residency" your next task

I don't understand. What would that calculate? Does being in-state give you a boost?YCrevolution wrote:An in-state residency feature for LSP is in the works, but will probably not debut in time for this cycle's applicants.

In some states (see: Virginia and Texas) the answer is yes.laidoffjournalist wrote:I don't understand. What would that calculate? I see. I live in NY state, so I feel pretty confident any such boost doesn't exist for me. Damn that Big Apple.
