UCR launches its re-modified plan for a new law school in the University of California system! A projected plan of growing to 675 students by 2010.

Yikes. Is this really needed? I can see UCI filling a niche (as a T1/T2 school in OC), but Riverside???

I think UCR withdrew their proposal for the law school when UCI got approved and instead pushed their med school plans.

I'm glad they did this.

Significantly more so. We have a stunning shortage of med schools compared to the projected number of needed docs.

I think they revised their plans because of UCI. But they are still looking to establish it I believe, in addition to their medical school.
