sending out loci’s to multiple schools? Forum

Hi, is it frowned upon to send loci’s to multiple schools you’ve been waitlisted at? It’s just, I am unsure if a loci is meant to be reserved only for your very top spot, and whether it kind of has a semi-binding promise to attend if admitted? I have multiple Wl’s I am interested in but I don’t know if it’s acceptable to send in loci’s for more than one.
