Hi guys, Idk if this is the right place to ask but I couldn't find any other subreddit so I'm writing to solicit some thoughts on my application. I just got my LSAT score it was 167. This score really placed me in a dilemma. I'm not sure if I should apply this cycle or next cycle early. My GPA is 3.67 and just graduated from a T20 university with a BS in economics/statistics. I think I have a solid LORs and I've published in academic journal before. I aim for a T14 school but 167 is probably too low for any T14 at this point.... so should I apply just to give a shot or should I wait to apply in Sep? (I'm planning to retake April LSAT to potentially score a 171+) Thanks so much for reading and offering any advice!!!
(I was planning to apply anyway to T15-25 schools and 1 or 2 T14 schools this cycle and if my April LSAT is high enough I can then decide what to do later...but Idk if this is a good strategy.. anyway please offer me some advice thanks!!)

Re: Application Advice needed plz!!
So you finally posted after joining last March? Well done, and I hope some of us can give you the help you need.
First of all, you do need to retake. This is not only to boost your chances of admission to your T14 target schools, but to increase your chances of getting a scholarship. Too much debt will constrain your career choices. In this vein, you may want to check out admission and scholarship data on the Law School Numbers website and our own "What are My Chances?" forum.
February is fairly late to apply. I've always seen October as the best time for that. One reason would be that most T14 schools will consider early applications more favorably. As usual, that would apply even more strongly for scholarships.

Also, that 15-25 plan could work really well for you, but those aren't just random applications as I'm sure you know. They woud need to be carefully planned, and an April LSAT with a May application is far too late. Those schools are actually your best targets for big scholarships, so make sure to approach them in the right way at the right time.
Wishing you the best, I think a 172 LSAT and some fall applications will lead to great results next spring.

Thank you so much for your thorough reply and advice!! I will definitely study hard and retake in April. I was wondering if you have any good LSAT tutors recommendations? Thanks again!Almost Aristotle wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 1:18 pmAlso, that 15-25 plan could work really well for you, but those aren't just random applications as I'm sure you know.
