This is just something I think people considering law school should think about. Law school tends to attract type-A high achievers who happen to be better at the written/verbal communication side of things than the quantitative side (i.e. people who excelled in English and social studies but had to work a lot harder to get by in math and science). A lot of these people have inferiority complexes and need to prove themselves because our society currently values achievement in STEM more highly than achievement in "softer" fields. And a lot of these people would be working in the most dynamic, prestigious STEM industries like tech and medicine if they had been better at math, but go for law because it seems like the most stable and lucrative profession on the humanities side.
But there must be other options out there for smart people who want a legit profession but don't want to deal with numbers or know their true talents do not lie in STEM (right?). Can anyone name some? Asking for those considering law school and for myself when I get burned out from practicing law...
