Deferred Suspension on transcript

Post by CamrynP » Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:53 pm

Hi everyone!
Im currently in my last year of undergraduate school at a UC. I have a 3.85 GPA and want to get into a T14 Law school. I do have a deferred suspension on my transcript for academic dishonesty. It was during COVID and it was our first quarter online. I was struggling bad and I made a bad decision but I owned up to it. Im worried this will affect my chances of getting into law school. Do they even allow people with a deferred suspension in? Does anyone have any advice on this?

It will not stop you from getting into law school if you disclose and use your addendum to (briefly) explain what happened and what you've learned from the incident.

But this is putting the cart before the horse. You at least need an LSAT score before thinking about any secondary application issues, and you should strongly consider not going straight through.
