Waitlist LOCI timing?

Post by ze_gamerette » Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:44 pm

Hi everyone!

Question for you. I know that when you're on a waitlist you should be sending in 1 (or more) letters of continued interest through the cycle. I feel pretty confident about what I should include, but there also seems to be a bit of a strategy on when to send them.

What is the best time on when to send each letter? I.e. immediately within a day upon receiving the waitlist notice? Not until the first deposit deadline? How should us early waitlisters strategize our LOCI's?

Thanks everyone :)

Who's already sending out decisions?

In general, I would send your LOCI in March/April, when most admissions departments are starting to get a feel for the shape of the incoming class. Maybe later. But definitely not earlier.
