GWU Presidential Scholarship

I have 3.3 GPA and 168 LSAT. I know that my chances of getting the scholarship are slim at best. However, there is no other school I would want to apply for on a binding commitment. Would applying for the scholarship hurt my chances of getting in RD and getting $$$?
