Especially with T3 or T6 schools? If so, how many lower-year courses would put you at a disadvantage? I know there's probably no exact number, but is there a general range?

As a general rule, schools don't care. (Not only do they not care, but they're unlikely to be familiar enough with your college's course-numbering system to even notice.) The exception would be if you take, like, 12 different "Spanish 101"-type intro courses in an effort to get a 4.0 without actually learning anything.
