Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice in advance of the upcoming application cycle. I'm fortunate enough to have scored a 176 on the LSAT; unfortunately, my LSAC GPA is a 3.45 (no special reason, just didn't work as hard as I should have).
Obviously, with the poor GPA, HYS are out (according to myLSN), which has me thinking about whether it makes sense to apply ED to UChicago? My goals coming out of law school are essentially Clerkship -> BigLaw -> FedGov. I recognize that this is hard to achieve, but that would be the dream scenario, and it seems that Chicago is just a step below HYS when it comes to clerkship & biglaw placement.
I'm non-URM with average softs and will have 1 year of finance WE when I start LS; strong ties to Texas, but wouldn't mind working elsewhere either. I'll be financing tuition with loans, and my parents have generously offered to cover COL. I have no undergrad debt, which makes the idea of law school debt a bit more palatable, I suppose. Is this just a crazy idea? Is UChicago worth it at sticker or should I just apply broadly and hope for money at lower T-14s?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

Apply broadly, and you should see some decent scholarship offers in the T13. Don't ED anywhere without a guaranteed full ride.
