USC Gould announced a 4% tuition hike for next semester and insists that the education level is the same.
However, Professor Simkovic, author of "Million Dollar Degree" who used misleading stats to suggest a law degree is worth the insane costs, is, in my opinion, showing that the online education isn't worth the cost.
He canceled the Corporate Finance final and is forcing students to perform a tedious data collection project that isn't connected to the course at all! Despite complaints from students, the administration is letting the professor use the students as unpaid "researchers." Multiple students asked the professor what this project was for and he commented that it would be a huge help to him...leading us to believe that this is literally his way of taking advantage of an unfortunate situation.
COME TO USC GOULD IF YOU WANT TO PAY $70K A YEAR TO PERFORM UNPAID LABOR

Did I miss where USC announced a permanent shift to online education? rather than having to turn on a dime to online ed halfway through the semester and try to get profs who’ve never taught online ever to figure it out in like 2 weeks?
