Admission Consultant

Post by lawpplicant » Wed Dec 04, 2019 3:05 pm

Hi,

Has anyone paid for admissions consultant?

I am looking between Law School Expert and Law School Admissions Hero. They both gave free consultation. I think Admissions Hero seems more personal and involved.

Anyone have experience with one or both?

Thanks!

I used Spivey and had an A+ experience. Still, I would highly recommend that if/when you take that free consult you come with an itemized list of the challenges you expect to face in your process. Then, ask whomever you consult about their personal experiences with clients like you. Two caveats: (1) if what they promise seems too good to be true, it probably is and (2) if they don't have any experience with someone like you then they might not be the best option. Make sure you do your homework and give yourself a chance to cool off after the conversation before you commit to anything. Admissions consultants ain't cheap.

Can I PM you for more advice on what to bring to a call and how to prep for the phone call? I want to make sure I have all my base covered before going into it (this coming Monday).

I used Spivey (got Kevin). Pretty good experience. I got one of the cheaper consulting options from them though.
