Should I cancel my November score?
This may be a dumb question. I cancelled my June score and got 170 in September. I feel my November score is not going to be significantly better than 170. (Probably it will just end up with a 169/170)
Since AO will not look at my application if there is a pending LSAT score, should I just cancel my November LSAT so that my application will be reviewed earlier? Also, I am afraid that if I have indeed screwed my November LSAT and get an 165-ish, will that disadvantage me since I get a much lower score after a good one.
I have 3.87 GPA. My target is NYU and wish to get into one of CC. (I know I have no chance for HYS. But 170 is probably enough for schools ranked after T6, right?)

Thanks for the reply!QContinuum wrote:What were you PTing at prior to your November test?
You are almost guaranteed to get in to at least one (and probably all three) of CCN with a 3.87/170, and just below even odds of getting into Harvard. Even Y/S, while unlikely, aren't necessarily out of the running, depending on your softs.
The thing is that my PT scores were pretty random, ranging from 168 to 179. So I am hard to reach a decent prediction for my November score based on PTs. And I was totally lost in the last game in LG and had to guess several, which also happened in September, but I felt November RC was much more difficult than September RC. So I can't conclude if there is going to be any improvement but I am very concerned that whether a much lower LSAT will ruin my chances.

If there's even a tiny chance of 171 or better, and there is, don't cancel. Not even close to a tough decision here.

Sept. 21 results (the first all-digital administration) were out on Oct. 14, so one week shy of a month.burqin wrote:When will Nov score be out?yyfhailey wrote:Thank you! Oct. 28 results were out on Nov. 20, so again a week shy of a month.
Nov. 25 results, if they follow the same timeframe, will likely be out sometime next week. Of course, there's no guarantee.

I just received my November score, which is much lower than my September one. Should I write an addendum or anything?

Only if 1) you actually have an extraneous reason for what happened or 2) by "much lower" you mean like 10+ points lower. If you mean 165, you're still within the +/- 3-point confidence band of the LSAT and there isn't really much to explain.yyfhailey wrote:I just received my November score, which is much lower than my September one. Thank you! Mine is 163. Is a 7-point drop still safe? The Lsat Airbender wrote:Only if 1) you actually have an extraneous reason for what happened or 2) by "much lower" you mean like 10+ points lower.
