Anyone have an idea about whether law schools will be reviewing and making decisions on applications that don't have an essay from the writing portion of the LSAT?
I was assuming they might since LSAC announced they would report scores even if the applicant hasn't taken LSAT Writing yet.
Still waiting on my score from October and trying to time it right.

Why don’t you just do the writing portion ASAP? I imagine that, even though they don’t really care about the writing portion, law schools will wait until you have a complete file before they review it. But this is also a new area so it might vary by school.

I work a lot and live with two roommates so been trying to find the right time to take it in peace. I am going to do it this Saturday but was just wondering since apparently it can take up to a few weeks for LSAC to process. The Lsat Airbender wrote:Why don’t you just do the writing portion ASAP? Fair enough. In any case UChicago's FAQ (picked one at random to check) corroborates what I said above:dr.van.nostren wrote:I work a lot and live with two roommates so been trying to find the right time to take it in peace. "Please note, you must have at least one LSAT writing sample on file (either from a previous paper examination or from the digital LSAT Writing) in order for LSAC to generate a CAS Report and for your file to be marked complete. If you have not already done so, please remember to complete the LSAT Writing. Your file will not be marked as complete until we have received at least one writing sample."
