Advice needed?

Post by kennedyiu » Mon Nov 18, 2019 2:59 pm

I am in conflict- I did poorly on LSAT (152) and don't have a great UGPA (3.3). Would it be a bad idea to go to a poorly ranked law school for 1L that gives me nearly a full tuition scholarship, and then try to transfer to a better law school for 2L? I am not quite sure what to do, I haven't received any acceptances or decline letters yet, but I am trying to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. All advice is welcome. Thanks!

Yes, this is a bad idea. You cannot count on doing well enough during 1L to transfer. So don't matriculate anywhere you wouldn't be happy graduating from.

You're also leaving money on the table with this "plan." Improve your LSAT, and you can get a scholarship at the school you actually want to go to.
