Error in UChicago Application Forum

Hello all!

Please help me deal with a minor panic/freak out I just had! After submitting my app to UChicago earlier today (fingers crossed!), I realized that I had uploaded my regular resume, while UChicago specifically asks for a resume that includes hours/week for each activity.

I am somewhat at a loss about what to do. My current plan is to email the admissions office in a week or so with an "updated resume" that will include a few superficial updates about work accomplishments this month while also including the hours/week for each activity and hope that the adcoms don't really notice the original failed to include this information...

I am hesitant to directly email the admissions office about the mistake because I don't want to call a ton of attention to it, but I also don't want them to think I was unable to follow simple instructions... anyhow, any advice/words of support/more level headed approaches to solving this would be appreciated (because I'm mildly freaking out right now)! Thanks in advance for your wisdom/expertise!

No need to play games. Just send them an updated resume and apologize for uploading the wrong one. Their fault for having weird requirements and I highly doubt this will be a problem for you if you're just a bit less neurotic.

Don't sweat it. As said above, just say you uploaded the wrong one. They are not morons and the application process is nota trap designed to catch you in an error.

If you are still panicking, maybe it will be comfort to know I did literally the exact same thing, submitting my standard resume without Chicago's requested detail on hours-per-week.

Thank you for your post, I doubt I would have realized my mistake otherwise! I sent a polite apology and my corrected copy, without any other updates.
