Will taking between 20-30 online CC classes (for GPA) be a red flag?

Post by thatlawschoolshit » Wed Aug 28, 2019 10:42 pm

I am considering taking between 20 and 30 online classes to raise my GPA from a ~3.7, over the summers when I have very few responsibilities. The community college I have taken online classes from is laughably easy, so I should be able to get A's in all of these classes (as I did in the 8 classes I've taken there already).I know there are many threads about this exact practice, but most of those people were attempting this on the scale I'm talking about. Will it raise red flags? Will they ask me about this in interviews? I honestly wouldn't have much of an excuse beyond "intellectual curiosity."

P.S. I know this seems like the ultimate gunner move/waste of money, but my parents are paying for it and I just want that scholarship money.

Don't do it. You have a fricken' 3.7. Don't add a glaring red flag (and yes, 30 online community college classes is going to be a glaring red flag) to your record in a misguided attempt to raise that to a 3.8.

Apply your time, money and effort toward acing the LSAT. You'll get much more return on investment there with every extra point you score.
