Hello all,
I am going to apply for law school for Fall 2019. I just found out that law schools asked for transcripts converted by LSAC, and LSAC has their own converting system.
I go to Penn State University, and we have a standard 4.0 grading system. However, I do have several Withdraw and LD on my transcript. I was told that they might affect my GPA, but I have also heard some people saying that they would be excluded while converted.
So, just a quick question: Will the LD or W on my transcript adversely affect my GPA? Is the GPA given by LSAC the same as the GPA you get from your undergrad school (if you have a standard 4.0 grading system)? I am so anxious now because of the LD on my transcript. It says LD, but nothing on the official transcript shows if those grades are punitive of non punitive. Anyone ever had any previous experience like this?

Have you checked here?

I think you need to ask your university if they consider the W punitive.

Re: Question About Late Drop and Withdraw on Transcript
Lots of people have W's on their transcript. It's pretty common. Unless there were any unusual circumstances regarding the W, it should count as non-punitive. Typically, a punitive withdraw is listed as WF.
