Dropping major focus?

Post by orion » Tue Aug 21, 2018 9:43 pm

Hey y’all,
I’m wrapping up my senior year with a degree in Political Science/International Relations. It’s not a double major, and not a minor, more like a focus/concentration. It’ll come up on my diploma as a single degree in PoliSci/IR. If I drop to just a general degree in PoliSci, it’ll be one less major course I need to take. Not planning on minoring either way. Will law school look one way or another on whichever degree I choose to graduate with? Will the IR focus give me a leg up, or look bad that I dropped it? Does not minoring disadvantage me?

Thanks!

Law schools won't care whether you have the IR focus or not. If you think dropping the IR focus will help improve your GPA, do that.
