Long story short...

3 takes -> 166 June, 158 Sept (ugh, just a really bad day, knew I should have canceled), 168 Dec

Been accepted to all 5 of T30 schools I applied to with the 166 / 158 and no addendum so it hasn't hurt me yet.

I'll be applying this week to Vandy, WUSTL, GT, Cornell. Should I add an addendum for these or not waste my time?

You can if you want, but it’s unlikely to make or break it for you. I like the why X because it’s an easy way to show genuine interest in the school, which adcoms love to see in my experience, but that doesn’t mean you’re getting in/not getting in because of it.
