I've recently been thinking hard about my financial future and instead of focusing on a T14 which would cost almost sticker with my numbers, rather on a strong school for nearly free.
I see that Villanova used to be well ranked and respected but then they got into a ranking scandal.
However, it seems they're trying to gain traction back by handing out a lot of full rides.
Would a full ride to Villanova (and maybe Temple) be an OK investment if my end goal is to work midlaw (and potentially in the future for the MD govt) in Baltimore? I do have Baltimore ties (a full ride at UMD is very unlikely for me as an OOS).
I'd be fine with working in the Philly area for 2-3 years but would like to ultimately settle down in Maryland.
Any thoughts?

No. Go to UMD or even UB with money if you want to work in Baltimore.
