Should I get a professional LOR if I have 2 professors LOR
Graduated college 1.5 years ago. I have 2 LOR from old professors (they submitted them last year, but know I was applying now).
I have been working for a year for a company (not law related) and I am 99% sure my boss would write me a good to great LOR.
Any benefit to having a professional LOR or should I just keep it at the 2 academic?
Thanks!

You'll need it if you plan on applying to Columbia.

If Columbia requires it then im guessing other schools prefer it?Rigo wrote:You'll need it if you plan on applying to Columbia.

Probably doesn't matter all that much. If it's easy to get, it won't hurt to have it in your LSAC account to send with LOCI's or something later in the cycle.
I wouldn't wait around for it though. If you have two and your apps are done, send.

I think Northwestern is one of the schools that wants one written by your employer!

Ok So 2 t14 schools want it. Thanks!
Are there any other opinions on this? I really don't want to bother my employer if it's not something that will really change anything in my application. I probably am not going to apply to Columbia or Northwestern.

It's only going to be a plus to have the extra letter from a different source. And on a separate note, if you have the numbers, you should be planning on sending apps to NU and Columbia, even if only for negotiation purposes.BU2014 wrote:clueless801 wrote:I think Northwestern is one of the schools that wants one written by your employer!

From my understanding, NW is going to prefer it but it won't detract from your app in anyway if you don't have one. If you don't want to bother your employer, you certainly don't have to get a letter from them and it won't affect your application negatively.BU2014 wrote:clueless801 wrote:I think Northwestern is one of the schools that wants one written by your employer!
