Hello,
I have read online that visiting law schools during application cycle shows an interest and allows you to write about a more personal experience in your "Why X" essays.
Do you think its worth visiting a law school especially if it's a splitter?
Are there any benefits from visiting law schools? Forum

Re: Are there any benefits from visiting law schools?
It wouldn't be to compelling if you made a special trip to visit a school prior to submitting your app and said that you liked it. It would be more compelling if you had some other decent reason to be there and you stopped by the law school to visit while you were there and said you liked.
Admissions folks aren't employing some super nuanced/complex calculus in their decisions. You don't get 2 points for visiting/having been there before.

That doesn't make any sense.hangingtree wrote:It wouldn't be to compelling if you made a special trip to visit a school prior to submitting your app and said that you liked it. I visited the T14 law school I currently go to and was able to sit down and talk with the admissions counselor who was going to read my file and talk to some current students so I had specific points to mention in my "Why X." I think it is definitely worth it if it isn't too much of a hassle or expense.calmike wrote:Hello,
