Any advantage to JD/LLM?

Post by MrLions » Fri Aug 25, 2017 11:54 am

Hey guys,

BU has a 6 semester accelerated JD/LLM in Banking and financial law program. Would this help you get a job in Biglaw? Considering applying ED binding to get the full tuition scholly and then sliding into this program.

Thanks

If you don't pay extra for the LLM, go for it. But no, it isn't particularly helpful.

I feel like the LLM would only add value if it was in Tax from what I have heard. Does the board agree?

Sure, except the LLM here is in banking, and the OP didn't indicate an interest in practicing tax law, which is the only area where a tax LLM adds value.
