Should I forget about law school?

Post by FloridaLaw01 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:40 pm

I'm a URM with a 3.6 gpa at a small honors college, but I have over 10 withdrawals. I have medical documentations for all the withdrawals and was wondering if I should still apply to any of the top 14 law schools.

If you have legitimate medical reasons for all the withdrawals (with supporting documentation), it seems hard to believe that any law school would hold them against you. I suppose, perhaps, if there's some reason to believe that your medical issues are still ongoing and will seriously impact your legal studies, the schools might not like that. But if you have a documented disability, they still shouldn't hold it against you.

Also, just because you don't get into a T14, doesn't mean you should forget about law school.
