A head shake followed by an admit is better than a well-received application followed by a rejection.

Well, what are your career goals? It's not unreasonable to retake a 171 for Columbia, but you don't need to retake for any schools where you're already over the 75th percentile.

It sounds like you made a large improvement/change in study habit between your second and third take, and if you feel that points were left on the table, then this fourth take makes a lot of sense. Regardless, view this as your last take.
