Re: Thoughts on NU ED?
If the numbers in your profile are accurate (171 and 3.9) then I don't think you should ED. I just graduated from NU and I applied ED way back when. I thought it was a great decision for me and it helped me reach my goals with very little debt. Based on the increases in tuition and the fact that your numbers might allow you to get more than 150k from NU or a better scholarship elsewhere in the T14, I don't think it's going lead to the least amount of debt.OakBrook2021 wrote:Applying this cycle and really considering applying ED to NU. Is it a bad idea to make such a restricting choice? I realize there's a very likely chance I wont get it (especially coming straight from undergrad), but I think NU with 150k would get me where I want with the least debt. Or should I just apply regular decision and then try to negotiate aid all around the T14?
If NU is still your preferred option if it might mean leaving up to 45k+ on the table, then apply ED but it might be worth rolling the dice for more money in your situation.

If the stats in your profile are your current stats then I would think you should get some real good money from T14 school as it is with RD. That, with the ability to negotiate better deals, would probably make EDing not the best choice. But what you want to do and others information would help get you some better input.
