Re: What do Softs stand for?
everything that isn't your gpa, lsat, and urm status. Jobs, extracurriculars, sports, etc. If you have to ask, your softs aren't going to help in admissions. Softs help olympic athletes, Rhodes scholars, etc.

Think of it like this. Law schools don't care about you as a person except to the degree you help their status. You can help their status in three ways.
1: through your GPA and LSAT
2: By gaining prestigious employment
or
3: by having some feature that they can brag about in admissions brochures.
Softs basically encompass anything that fits under category 2 or 3. So if you worked in ibanking, law schools might care about that because it will make you more desirable to certain big corporate law firms and thus more likely to get a job. Or if you won a gold medal in the Olympics they might care about that because they can brag about it in their admissions literature if you go.
But for the most part, this is all filler. What they really care about are the numbers.
