LOCI question

Post by lawlawlawlaw5 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 8:55 pm

I have been waitlisted at a few schools and am having a hard time differentiating between the "why x" and my LOCI. I don't have any new professional updates and included in my "why x" why I feel like I'm a good fit for their school. I am afraid my LOCI will be too repetitive! Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The beginning of my LOCI sounded a lot like a "Why X?". Then my next paragraph kind of played to the diversity aspect, I explained that being mixed race has exposed to many different cultures allowing me to connect and empathize with many different groups of people and how it would help me excel at the law school and beyond. Then I updated my application with two minor honor societies (Phi Kappa Phi and National Society of Collegiate Scholars). I closed the LOCI briefly mentioning different qualities of the school that I liked, saying it would be an honor to receive a place in the class of 2020, and thanking the committee for their time. I was admitted with $$ the day after sending my LOCI.
