Hi,
I had gotten into nursing school after getting my first bachelor's degree but dropped out in the middle of the first semester, receiving W's.
I know that any grades received after the first baccalaureate degree don't affect my LSAC GPA, but do law schools get to look at these grades at all?
If they do, should I write an addendum explaining why I received W's?
Do I need to write an addendum for poor post-baccalaureate grades? Forum

It sounds like you dropped out of the degree program entirely, so I'd probably write an addendum for that.

I would. An "I realized it wasn't the career I wanted for myself" simple and short addendum will suffice (assuming you left for non-C&F reasons)

This may seem odd, but yes an addendum is necessary to explain why you left nursing school. I do not want to get into specifics, but I am familiar with two instances of persons interning in hospital environments who got dismissed for taking (as in theft, not use) drugs without proper authorization.

I withdrew from a Masters program because I realized it wasn't in line with my career goals. I wrote an addendum about why I left (not my grades), and it has not impacted my cycle at all. In fact, one adcom who I spoke to during a visit said she respected my openness about the decision. I would highly recommend writing one - it doesn't need to be long or overly detailed.
