Changing Recommender after Submitted Applications

Post by del93 » Sat Jan 21, 2017 10:29 am

I just heard back from a fourth recommender I had asked for a letter and they just uploaded their recommendation to LSAC. However, it's been about a week and a half since I submitted my applications and was wondering if I could switch recommenders on my already submitted applications and whether this would 1. even be possible and 2. look bad since some of the apps ask for recommender names in the actual application part so I don't think I could change that now. To clarify, I would want to delete one of my other recommenders and add this one instead.

I haven't been able to find anything on this topic, and I don't want to change anything on LSAC before I know for sure.

You can probably e-mail individual admissions departments about it, but I wouldn't recommend it. It probably won't help, and it could hurt, assuming they're able to do it at all.
