Re: Mentioning the size of a company based on its revenue on the resume
I've never seen that listed on a resume (possibly because I've never gone anywhere near anything resembling business school). I wouldn't bother.

It kind of just sounds like you're insecure that people haven't heard of the company.
Someone who worked at Bank of America wouldn't list the revenue.
If you didn't have a key role in the company improving its position where growth would be reflective of your accomplishments, I wouldnt.

I think mentioning if the company is Fortune 500 is okay, especially if it's some obscure financial firm or oil conglomerate and not a household name like Coca Cola or Walmart or something. I've never heard of someone putting the actual revenue, in terms of $$$, of their employer on their resume though. But then again like cav I haven't seen a lot of resumes lol.

If it's relevant to describing a specific duty (e.g. 'managed [x] for company's $_B portfolio'), go for it. It's usually only relevant if you were in some way directly responsible for a portion of the P&L. Otherwise, leave it out.

I did it(used "multi-billion") to describe the size of the private-equity tax returns I prepared fwiw. Didn't think too much of it.echonov wrote:If it's relevant to describing a specific duty (e.g. 'managed [x] for company's $_B portfolio'), go for it.
