Just send a short e-mail disclosing to any schools you applied to. It doesn't cost you anything, and it won't affect your app.

There is no reason not to send then a very short e-mail asking them to amend your c&f disclosures to include a simple "on January 7, 2017, I received a speeding ticket."

Just send a brief email on what happen and the date and that you are working with a lawyer. It's shouldn't have any impact on your apps
