Appropriate "Why X" length Forum

Sorry if this is the wrong way to ask this, or if this is the wrong thread/forum, I am new here.

I am writing a couple of why x statements and I was wondering what would be an appropriate length. For Chapel Hill I have about a page double spaced, but for others I have much less (two to three paragraphs). Is this an appropriate length, or should I write more?

I stuck with a page double-spaced for the three that I wrote, but from what I hear the only requirement is that it shouldn't be longer than your personal statement. If you could try to keep them all to a page I think that would be good. Best of luck this cycle!
