As of Fall 2016 GPA 3.95 to 3.96 Does it Matter?

Post by btruj777 » Thu Dec 15, 2016 1:00 pm

Hey guys so I finished Fall 2016 for my UG and I have my grades posted. Is this something I should send to the schools? Or, should I wait to just send my final transcripts Spring 2017 to which ever school accepts me? I have heard mixed opinions. And if it is the case that I do send the transcripts now, does it slow down my app progress?
Also, my GPA went from a 3.95 to a 3.96 does that matter at all to any school in terms of increasing my chances at a certain school? I do not want to slow down the progress for something so minimal.

Thanks!

I mean, it won't materially impact anything.
E-mail schools with an update if you wish. They'll print the email and add it to your file. There won't be a delay.
The only schools where this would have any chance at making a slight difference are the top of the T14. You moved from 75%tile to over 75%tile at Chicago and Penn, for instance. If not applying to T14 I wouldn't bother though.
