Update LSAT after application

Post by pleasesendhelp » Mon Dec 05, 2016 6:08 pm

Just took the LSAT for the 3rd and final time . Submitted all my apps after the test. Finally I am done with everything this cycle!

Or am I?

I already have 2 LSAT scores on file, and I know most schools will wait until the 3rd comes out to make a decision, but do I need to shoot them an e-mail when the score comes out or will LSAC take care of that for me?

Lsac will auto-update all apps for you.

thank you!

Do you by chance also know if a school will ding you before your score comes out? I heard some will accept early, but not sure about rejections..

Hardly. Even your GPA and softs are bad, usually they will wait to see if your LSAT rocket.

Just realized I phrased my q wrong. I meant to ask if I need to ask them to wait, or if they will wait regardless for my score to come out

They will know automatically after you registered for a new LSAT. But to play safe, you can email them to hold review (if you are afraid of being rejected before the new score is released.)

On the flipside of this, what if I'm registered for the February test but I don't want schools to wait to review until then? I already submitted my apps in November with a score I'm happy with and that is at or above median for all of the schools I've applied to except for two, and at or above the 25th percentile for the other two. Obviously I don't want schools to hold off on reviewing my application until February scores come out, but if they can see that I just registered for the Feb test today, do you think I need to email them and tell them that?
