Percentage of Law Students who were Business Majors in Undergrad?
Does anyone have this stat?
Only Columbia seems to provide it for their school (5%), I couldn't really find it at any other schools or a blanket stat.
Thanks in advance!

I don't this matters at all, which is probably why no one tracks it. Why do you want to know?dizzyizzy wrote:Does anyone have this stat?

People with business degrees are usually too smart to invest in law school.

This stat is going to be quite low at any top school because high LSAT scorers disproportionately come from top UG'S. Top ug's usually don't offer business degrees (notable exception is Wharton). A huge portion of the class at law schools like Yale, Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Chicago etc. wouldn't have even had the option to pursue a business degree (economics would be the closest offered).dizzyizzy wrote:Does anyone have this stat?

Most business degrees (unless we're talking about finance, accounting, etc.) leave people no better off than any other crap degree.

yeah, lol at the idea that "business" majors at shit schools are savants who understand that law school is a losing proposition. I bet that they make up a higher proportion of students at lower ranked law schools. If they're lucky, they get a back-office position at some shit company, and if they hit the jackpot they might get a manager position at Target (corporate!).cantyoloforever wrote:LOLbarkschool wrote:People with business degrees are usually too smart to invest in law school.

OP: fwiw, Harvard, CLS, Northwestern all love business backgrounds. If you can get a couple of years of W/E on top of that you are golden.

I know you didn't quote me, but I'd like to clarify my comments.dabigchina wrote:Lol @ this thread and its 0L elitism.curry1 wrote:

Nothing wrong with a business background, and I'm definitely not looking down on it. My comments were specifically targeted towards the idea that business majors are too smart to even think about going to law school in the first place. Majoring in business doesn't guarantee squat.

If you were a business major, this would make more sensecurry1 wrote:yeah, lol at the idea that "business" majors at shit schools are savants who understand that law school is a losing proposition.
