Forgot to disclose C&F

Post by hellohalo » Thu Nov 17, 2016 5:09 pm

I forgot to disclose a traffic control device violation in all of my application. Two points off. I probably have to write to every school, asking them to make the correction to my application, right?

And for those applications under review, would this change delay their review process on my application files?

Thanks ahead to people who can share their thoughts.

Yes, assuming that all the schools you applied to asked you to disclose an offense of that nature, you need to get on that ASAP. It's not an application-killer, but it needs to be taken care of as early as possible to avoid issues with the bar.

Just give them an email. It's not a big deal.

There wasn't a single request on any of my applications to disclose something as minor as a traffic violation. The Bar will ask you to disclose those things; law schools, not necessarily.
Many school asked to disclose every crime. As long as they don't explicitly state “excluding minor traffic violation", I emailed them. And they were cool with me.
