Georgetown Early Decision

Post by JGPGH » Thu Nov 10, 2016 1:04 pm

I know early decision is a bad move in terms of scholarships and debt financing but I just had a question that I'm hoping to get some help on. Money aside, will applying ED to Georgetown with a 3.56 GPA 163 LSAT increase my chances of getting in. Thanks

Everyone will just tell you to retake, but to answer your question I don't really think so.

Very few schools are more likely to offer you admission based solely on ED, and I don't think Georgetown is one them. Even if it were, the difference is negligible and certainly not worth the tens of thousands of dollars in scholarship funds you sacrifice by applying early.

And yes, retake.

iirc georgetown is the one T14 where you're statistically less likely to be accepted ED than RD.
