February LSAT Retake for Scholarships

Would retaking the LSAT in February--after the December/January admissions decisions--improve one's chances of obtaining higher scholarships? (assuming that I am able to improve by at least 3 points) Any insight is much appreciated, especially if you or someone you know has been successful in doing so with a T-14 school. :)
