Emailing schools about new employment? Forum

I just accepted a job with a new company, it's very similar to what I was doing before/what was listed as my present employment on applications, just with better pay. I'm airing on the side of emailing schools I applied to and informing them of this change, but I just want to make sure I'm correct in thinking this is the right thing to do, since they request updates on any changes. My only concern is that if for some reason it didn't work out, it would start to seem weird for them to be getting emails all the time about my job updates. Maybe I should see how things go there the first couple weeks and then let them know?

Seems reasonable, but I'm not sure that it makes sense to jump ship from your employer now and between the start (or near the start) of law school.
